Sending a Small Package
We were told last week that another Dillon staff member is going to Korea this month. This time we can send something in a sandwich sized ziploc bag. Yes, that says sandwich sized, not quart sized. We had just the right thing that we wanted to send, but would it fit in a sandwich bag? The thing was a blankie that my Mom bought for Lydia over Thanksgiving weekend. The blankie is plush, pink and 1 foot square. It has a silky edge and a pocket that a little stuffed lamb fits inside. On the pocket is embroidered "My Blankie." I managed to roll it very tightly, like a sleeping bag, and stuffed it in the ziploc bag. But that's not all. We found a greeting card that plays Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and you can record your voice on it. So we said hello to our Great Star from her Umma and Appa (Mommy and Daddy). We crammed the card into the sandwich bag with the blankie and sent it on it's way to Korea.
