Lydia loves to repeat the interjections that she hears. I think she likes the expressions and the sounds of the words. When I ask Lydia what does Piglet say, she says, "Help!" (from the Winnie the Pooh movie). When a mustard bottle fell off the shelf and almost hit me I said, "Yikes!" She giggled and repeated, "Yikes!" She will say the words over and over again and just laugh. Here are some of her other interjections: Ouch!, Oh No! Yippee!
She has not seen the Schoolhouse Rock video, but the song started going through my head as I typed the title to this blog entry.
Interjections (Well!) show excitement (Oh!) or emotion (Hey!).
They're generally set apart from a sentence by an exclamation point,
Or by a comma when the feeling's not as strong.
They're generally set apart from a sentence by an exclamation point,

So when you're happy (Hurray!) or sad (Aw!)
Or frightened (Eeeeeek!) or mad (Rats!)
Or excited (Wow!) or glad (Hey!)
An interjection starts a sentence right.
