Yesterday I told my principal the good news and asked if I could make an announcement at the faculty meeting. When I told her that Han Byeol means great star she said, "Isn't that appropriate; she could be our mascot." The school where I teach is named after an astronaut and we are "The Stars". So she put "Great Star" as the first item on the faculty meeting agenda.
I had Han Byeol's pictures projected on the Smart Board for the faculty to see. There was lots of "Oohing and Aahing".
Around lunch time one of the secretaries came by my room and gave me a gift bag. I was busy with a class at the time so I didn't open it until later. Inside was a teddy bear with a star on it that says, "Heaven Sent. "
