Monday, (Flag Day), we received a letter from the USCIS (Citizen and Immigration Service). In the envelope was Lydia's green card. She is now a "Permanent Resident" of the United States. She is one step closer to becoming a citizen, which will happen after the adoption is finalized, in about 5 months.
Since Lydia has her green card, I thought that she could get a job in one of the following areas:
1. Making commercials for Cheerios.
2. Product research for a diaper company. She has done the Huggies vs. Pampers experiment.
3. Backyard pool water tester. She stuck her finger in the pool water and then put it in her mouth to officially declare that the pool water was suitable for drinking, even though there is a sunscreen oil slick on the water.
4. Landscape architect. She loves to play with the wood mulch in our yard as well as at the park. She also digs in the dirt.
5. Greeter at Wal-Mart. She says, "Hi" and waves, but not necessarily at the right time.
6. Answering telephones. She says "Hello" and holds any object up to her ear to pretend it is a cell phone. She babbles on, but no one can understand what she is saying. She loves to push buttons, like the mute button or the button to hang up on someone. (I apologize if this has happened to you.)

Way Cool!!!!
