Today, Katy took Lydia up to school to meet all the teachers (The Grissom "Stars"). We arrived just as classes let out and the teachers were heading to the office. Lydia was a bit overwhelmed by everyone coming to greet her, but eventually started smiling.
The school health clerk, Jane, gave Lydia the "Cheerios" book. This is now one of Lydia's favorite books. Two of Lydia's favorite things in one: books and Cheerios!
Lydia enjoyed playing with the principal's daughter, Tia. Tia gave Lydia a homemade card and entertained her while we were talking with everyone in the office. One of the toys Tia showed Lydia was a cute little panda. Later that evening, Lydia started playing with her own stuffed pandas, which she had ignored up to this point. New developments every day.
